Our Propagation Service is one of the special services that we offer our customers. We have successfully managed to propagate some very rare and unusual plants from private gardens, historic gardens and conservation sites. Provided that there is sufficient viable material available to work with, we should be able to propagate most species. Peter Moore, our propagator, has worked in the specialist field of plant propagation for the past four decades. Peter was trained at Hillier’s Nursery and spent the first three and a half decades of his career at the nursery, often working closely with Sir Harold Hillier. One of Peter’s hobbies is plant breeding and he has several outstanding hybrids to his name. Choisya ‘Aztec Pearl’ is his most successful to date. Other new hybrids of his are Oenothera ‘Crown Imperial’, Weigela ‘Red Trumpet’, and the new Choisya ‘Gold Fingers’. Peter continues to hybridise and we look forward to seeing many new plants coming from this breeding stable.
